As if that wasn’t enough, the drumroll made me jump in my chair.

I missed most of the fireworks, but they were very cool to watch.
Wait, what’s that in my hand?

A Saradomin godsword (SGS) and you can tell from the above pic, I own it. Hee hee hee! I decided I wanted to buy a godsword, mostly to try out and see if it’s as good as people are saying. Bandos was my initial choice since it’s the cheapest (prices are rising though). Then it hit me: why not buy the one which would benefit me the most, the SGS? I sold my 3 big ticket items for the bulk of the 43.5M – the dfs (pain in ass to expend all 50 charges), the SS (I miss is already) and the dragon platemail (I will buy it back!) After that, I dug into my runes, potions and coal supplies to make up the difference. Sold 9k laws which means I’ll have to make more *cry*.
The SGS is slightly slower than a whip or d scim, but faster than any of the other 2-handers except the SS. When I’m kitted out for maximizing strength bonuses, it hits hard. The healing half of the special worked nicely against abbys. I haven’t tried out the prayer half of the special yet, but I might later at abberant spectres. I want to try it against Bork, but I’m chicken taking it out into the Wildy. I can say that I agree with Qeltar: “A couple of caveats, though, before you break open the piggybank. First, make sure that you can really afford the sword—selling every piece of gear you own to get a godsword is probably unwise. Also be sure that you won’t be kicking yourself if it goes down in value over time. Most items in the game do devalue eventually, as more of them enter play or other alternatives are introduced. Really though, if you are buying it to use (as opposed to merchanting it) the price fluctuations don’t mean anything. Just use the sword and enjoy it.“ (from Truthscape Special Report – the Godsword)

I got the summoning level, thanks to the abbys dropping crimsons. I’m not going to make any dagganoth pouches because the hides are too damned expensive to buy. BTW, it’s not worth making the 1 shards pouches if you buy the secondary ingredient (dag hide, tortoise shell, rune bar); though if you get them for free, by all means make the pouches. While I was killing abbys, those stupid abyssal walkers would attack me as I picked up the drops, so I killed them and got a few abyssal charms. I made them into abyssal lurker pouches. Sucks you can’t take familiars onto Entrana.
Gratz kitt!
See SGS is the best ^_^
The release charges option on the right-click menu may have helped with your charge releasing.
You mean you expelled all the charges one at a time?! o.o
Lol, I didn’t see that option Boom.
*sigh*
I’d still pick a good Abby Whip + Rune Def combo over all four of the Godswords any day, but I suppose the SGS’s healing properties make it a more ideal weapon in this case.
This can be because my attack and strength aren’t maxed, but I hit frequent zeros with a whip or whip/defender. I know that happens to everyone though.
