Caught up with ToG, then found all the penguins this morning and put the points in runecrafting for a level finally. All stats are 85+; now to get them to 90+. XD

Did a few slayer tasks to break from red dragons. As I’ve said, ranging isn’t my bag, so it’s kinda boredom city down there. I’d hoped different tasks would help. I ran into a snag with aquanites. I range them since I’m pretty much wearing ranging gear anyway (magical defense) and I hit decently with broad bolts. Unfortunately, aquas hit just as well against me and my unicorn can’t keep up with the damage. About a third of the way through 180 of them, I felt upgrading my black dhide to Karil’s might help. I felt I could just use it for this task, fix it and sell it (hopefully). I went to Edge and looked over my bank. I had 21M in cash. The wheels started turning. I checked up on how much better Armadyl armor was over the other two. It’s +17 magic defense better than black dhide and +10 better than Karil’s (just comparing the body and legs). I could outright buy part and see what I could scrounge to sell for the other part. I certainly didn’t put myself in the poorhouse though I had no nats, laws, deaths and bloods (this would bite me in the ass today). I dumped my dragon boots and cooked monkfish and sharks were put in as back-up. I bought the platebody first at max price, then the skirt and legwarmers, again at max price. The helm could wait since I’d be wearing a slayer helm. With an improved magic defense, I returned to aquas and learned to better adjust how many sharks I bring. The unicorn healed me without a rush, so the investment was worth it.

I finished those off this morning and received sp mages. By now I was bored with slayer, so I just went melee+prayer to hurry it along. I grabbed 2 fire and …damn, no law runes. Decision time: I was in Yanille already dressed. Should I strip off and make a quick load of runes or go buy 2 from the GE? I didn’t feel up to getting naked, so I bought the freakin’ runes. Just desserts – I got 4 laws as a drop. XD

I took time out to restock what I’d sold to buy the shiny Armadyl armor. I needed games necklaces and dueling rings as well as runes. I did 20 runs via the Abyss and have a handy stock of 1k laws. Another item I sold were home tele tabs (brought me a tidy sum, too). I made up a couple hundred of them, then got to work on that jewelry. I noticed a clue sitting in my bank, so I went to do that and prayed for nothing difficult. The first clue put me near the agility fence in the Wildy. I thought this would be a good time to test out the Ardy cloak (whatever the immunity does). Apparently “immunity” means 2 rev knights; 1 that poisons and 1 that drains prayer. I made it to the mage arena bank lever, only to learn I’d been teleblocked. So I’m standing there, tugging on this lever and hoping the poison damage doesn’t kill me. I kept trying to turn on Rapid Heal, but was surprised to see I had no prayer points. I dropped my spade and sextant to keep the clue, watching my health drain to zero. I appeared in Camelot and saw a big, gold arrow pointing north. I checked my inventory – watch, coordinate map and machete; no clue. I forgot about the cloak and machete which overrode the clue. Well, I’m fast on my feet and the Ardy level isn’t too far away. I decided to make a run to get my stuff. This time, I grabbed a super anti, 2 super energy, a forinthry brace and 5 sharks from the bank on the way to the lever. When I pulled it, the 2 knights were waiting for me, but I’d fooled them by sipping a dose of antipoison before teleporting. Ha ha fuck you!!1! I ran past them, cut the webs and ran for the bank. The did hurt me hard, but I ate a few sharks and made it to my grave. I picked up my stuff and destroyed the grave so no one would bless it for no reason. That was the excitement for this clue. The reward was okay; I kept the firelighters, laws and cooked sharks, alched the helm and sold the legs.

You’ve probably seen this before, so bear with me while I giggle over it. I found a link to SP Studios, a site where you can make characters like in South Park. I did myself IRL, then Kitt, whom I pictured hanging on a grassy knoll near Falador castle with her wily hellcat named Slash.

Yay, finally, 94 range which should’ve been done a week ago but I felt it necessary to raise those dragon eggs. It will get faster as I given up raising anymore eggs until I get the CoA. Wait, what did I mean by “anymore eggs”? Just what I said. I got another 3 eggs today because Guthix wants me to become the Gielinor version of Sybil Vimes (nee` Ramkin). Honestly, it would be such a coupe to have a menagerie of 10 baby red dragons. Who else has one of any color? I haven’t heard about it and I’m sure it would be the talk of the RS fora. Atm, I can store the newest future dragons without much of a hassle; I’d just store the monkey, chameleon and raven in the bank.

Back to the ranging. Here’s most of the items I picked up, I alched the weapons and armor and didn’t keep track of the runes, along with charms for 93-94 and the 3 eggs from today.

If anyone has any yak hides they want to sell, I’m buying on the GE. I’d get them myself, but yaks always have a crowd.

EDIT: Lol, forgot about the runecrafting I did. I made nats to figure out how many extra I can make. I did 20 runs through the Abyss with full pouches (54 p ess). The average is 49.2% extra nats.

I also played with the new spells against black demons under Taverly. I like the animation a lot.

To begin, all my dragon eggs are hatched, nurtured and frolicking in my menagerie. I’ve taken out both cats, the squirrel and the raccoon which leaves the monkey representing non-reptile and non-avian kind. Piscatoris was quiet and I fished up 2k monks, later toasting them on the Rogue’s Den fire (18M cooking exp).

To carry on, I haven’t tested the runecrafting or magic updates. The spells I’ll try out to see what the animation looks like. The runecrafting is not a big deal for me. I don’t use it to make money and, since I don’t work with magic aside from the occasional high alch, don’t craft runes for my own use. I remember buying 8k nats 2 years ago and there’s 6.5k still in the bank. This is why my runecrafting level is a crappy 84. Anyway, I know I shouldn’t poke before I’ve got my own facts, but so much bitching over double nats before level 91! It’s either “omfg, nat prices r dropping” or “Jagex effed over ppl wit 91+ rc”. I’m praying nat prices drop. They *should* have dropped long ago since that’s the only way anyone knows how to train runecrafting which just floods the market. And for those who are demanding a different rc update and need an answer, how about double laws at 99 or triple cosmics at 95? Now those would be rc updates to be happy about.

And the finish, the GE and the buying/selling limits. A handful of people have talked about the new 100 log per 4 hours limit on the GE. Here’s a thought, Jagex, what the fuck is the point of a Grand Exchange across all worlds when people can’t fucking use it to trade in bulk? Are you forcing players to trade on the official forums so you can document player pricing? Come the fuck on; it’s LOGS!

Lil Red 3 grew up, so I hatched out Lil Red 4. We’re at the fishing colony because the guild is driving me insane. Not the guild so much as the people. I have 2.5M in raw sharks (about 1900) which I’m not decided whether to: cook and keep; cook and sell; keep raw for bunyips; sell raw. I will be cooking the monkfish though. BTW, I have 16M fishing exp. w00t!

Just to let you guys know, I’m going to stop updating my RS blogs at the start of December, 2009. No, I’m not quitting RS altogether, just blogging about it. When I don’t make a post, I feel I’m letting you down and keeping up with all the screenshots makes getting levels a chore instead of something fun. At least I give you a warning instead of dropping off the face of the Earth.

After 22 hours of loitering around the pet shop, I gave up on being around when the egg hatched and went off to find more herbs. I’d left off with 14k exp to a level, so I tried chaos druids. They still drop herbs frequently, just not the ones I wanted for a quick level. I broke down and made some of those recover special pots (super energy+papaya).

Yayness, I can make super prayer pots with some help from Greenman. I bought 1k wyvern bones and scrounged up 13 empty pots from my house. On my way to Yanille bank, I stopped to check the egg and viola! a second red hatchling! I let him tag along with me as I ground up the wyvern bones and made the super prayer pots in my house. Afterwards, I went fishing for sharks at the guild. I think I’ll keep them raw for bunyips.

ION, Jagex isn’t taking payment for membership. I’ve switched to a new card, but the system locks me out as it goes to a secure site. I have about 1 – 1 1/2 days of P2P left, so you may find me hanging in F2P on Monday. I’ll keep trying to get the site to load.

Waiting for an egg to hatch is painfully annoying. I could go off and do other things, but I’ll be losing valuable growing time on my pet. BTW, I took out Pickles (the purple cat) and put Lil Red into the menagerie to test out getting a second dragon hatchling. The egg’s been in the incubator for 4 hours now. I’m too on edge to return to ranging, in case the egg hatches while I’m gone.

You ever meet someone in RS and say that you hate them? I don’t mean “hate” as in mortal enemies, but “hate” as in someone earned/bought something you don’t have? I suppose an example would work better. Okay, I “hate” Timothy Gold’s determined training schedule and I “hate” Cookies Spam (Sparhawke Pa) for being an effective merchanter and I “hate” Teacuptime/Merch/Full of Pie for loving the hell out of construction. I don’t hate the person per se, but I hate a bit of their gaming ideology. I’m positive people hate me for having all these abyssal demon heads (or monster heads in general; sorry Merch).

So, I want to join the club of I Hate Kitt for Getting All Those Monster Heads and Abyssal Whips.

Firstly, I didn’t think it was possible to get another dragon egg of the same color as a baby/hatchling dragon you already have in your bank. I thought I’d have to stuff Lil Red in the menagerie to get a second red dragon egg. Secondly, all I do to get these rare drops (besides killing) is wear a RoW.

I’m super curious now. If I put Lil Red in the house, can I incubate the new red egg and get a second baby red dragon? Well, I’d have to give up one of my hosue pets in order to find out. I really don’t want to because I’ve named them.

After reading Merch’s blog, I decided to follow suit and get a slayer task from Lapalok. I wasn’t overly worried about getting something I didn’t want but that it would be something I could range. 184 aquanites, no problem. I read up on them and read a couple guides. Most dealt with melee, but since it was the same gear for both I went ready to range. I learned a bunyip doesn’t cut it for healing, so I went with a unicorn plus sharks. It was an interesting way to spend 3 hours and they weren’t crowded. I did get many seeds to plant and addy bolts to play with.

I went off to check out the new leprechaun “champion” and hopefully unlock the Victory Is Mine music. Well, that ddin’t happen. Instead it was a new music track and the leprechaun is a pushover (level 32).

I changed over my hair to the half up/half down style; what I call IRL as a half pony.

Question of the Day: am I the only one who thinks it’s about fucking time Falador got an altar/chapel? Really, the game’s been out for almost 10 years and one of the major cities does not have an altar? Now to just get one in Morytania, probably adjust the Ectofuntus to recharge prayer because who the fuck uses the nature altar in the swamp?

Anyway, I spent a couple hours with red drags to round up my range exp gained to 200k. It’s a pretty good place to range when you can use a pack yak to insta-bank for one hour and maybe, MAYBE you’ll come across one other player down there on a slayer task or getting the special tailbone for the rag man. My only worry is keeping myself occupied with Youtube (my channel music is getting lame, lol) or scumming /b/ for pics.
